Timeline

1994 ā€“ 2011

Our CEO developed an overnight road service between Cape Town and Johannesburg as a new service in the industry.

2011 ā€“ 2017

The establishment of Africa distribution was a natural growth to the SA Business and hence the offering of an express cross border service.

2017 – 2024

Building on our strong foundation in South Africa and our natural expansion into African distribution, 2017 marked a new era of growth for TMA Group. With increasing demand for reliable express cross-border logistics, we expanded our footprint across Zimbabwe and Zambia, reinforcing our position as a trusted express cargo and clearing service provider in the region.

2024 & GOING FORWARD

TMA launched TMC Clearing for seamless customs clearance and buying house services to enhance cross-border trade. TMA Logistics was also reintroduced to improve express cargo services between Cape Town and Johannesburg with better efficiency and pricing. The TMA Group is focused on innovation, reliability, and market expansion, aiming for faster and more cost-effective logistics solutions across Africa.

    Into Africa

    Shipments are continuously quoted on for respective clients.

    2

    We currently close orders off on a Wednesday. (This means all paperwork must have reached our office)

    3

    Collections and or deliveries must be done by latest Wednesday at 16h00, providing the paperwork has been submitted by 14:00 on Wednesdays

    We then sort out with Africa clients and agents the paperwork to get Load Authority (LA)

    We load the trucks on a Thursday (only those with LA)

    Trucks depart on either Wednesday evening or Thursday morning.

    SA clearing is done and we proceed to the Zimbabwe side between Thursdays and Saturdays.

    Most times we have Condep inspection on the Zimbabwe side. (Generally, not a big issue as LA is in place)

    After inspection, we proceed to Harare for delivery of the Zimbabwe goods on a Monday or Tuesday latest.

    For the Zambia consol, we route via Beit Bridge to Chirundu to reach Lusaka

    Trucks then return and the same processed is followed every week.

    Should there be deliveries to other areas, our branches in Harare and Lusaka dispatch these shipments accordingly.
